People Support Co-op is committed to paying all its Members and Associates at least the Real Living Wage and has consistently paid them at a higher rate than this since its establishment in 2021. We only work with clients whose own values and ethics are in line with our own. This includes a commitment to paying fair wages and creating a supportive workplace culture. We also check that any contractors who provide us with services comply with at least minimum wage requirements for their own employees and preferably the Real Living Wage.
The Real Living Wage is an hourly rate calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK. There are two rates, one for employees living in Greater London and one for the rest of the UK. The rates are set independently and updated annually. The current rates are available at: https://www.livingwage.org.uk
